The short answer
Mardi Gras housing is a distance problem: the parades own the streets, so wherever you stay, you live by how far you are from the route. The Syd sits one block off St. Charles Avenue. You keep the krewe together in one to six villas, watch Endymion’s weekend roll past the end of the block, and never once discuss parking.
There is even a villa for the occasion: Mardi Gras Magic, painted with Uptown Carnival, beadwork and float art. Carnival is the biggest week on the calendar, minimums run longer, and the season books out far ahead; price your dates live at checkout and move.

Questions
Asked before booking.
How early should we book Mardi Gras?
As early as your group can decide; Carnival is the biggest week on the calendar and books out well ahead. Minimum stays also run longer that week.
Can we watch the parades from the property?
The route is one block away, not at the door: you walk a block, catch the parade, and walk home. It is the best commute in Carnival.
